Seller packs often look polished because they were prepared for the data room, not for audit scrutiny. The danger is aesthetic order without evidence chains.
Circular references dressed as bridges
Watch for revenue bridges that reconcile to themselves through unnamed “other” plugs. In the app, force each plug into an exception with an owner before you clear the folder.
Version names that erase history
Files titled Final_v7_REAL.xlsx are a process smell. Insist on dated exports linked as evidence objects so later reviewers can see what changed after Q&A rounds.
Support that stops at screenshots
Screenshots without system IDs or report parameters rarely survive buyer counsel. Tag them as incomplete until parameters are captured.
